Our team is growing!

Forest Flyers Ninja Academy is looking for coaches that can deliver the best 50 minutes of a kid’s week. Kids have a blast at our gym pushing their limits, building up their confidence, and strengthening their bodies. To facilitate all of that we need stellar coaches!

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Relishes being a mentor to kids
  • Is full of energy (let’s face it: you will be running around a gym lifting and spotting kids all day)
  • Has an interest in the growing sport of Ninja. Nationwide leagues are growing and it will be part of the 2028 Olympics!
  • Has a passion for working with kids and a commitment to their development. You will be working with kiddos aged 3 all the way up to 16.
  • Experience in coaching, teaching, or youth sports (gymnastics, martial arts, parkour, or similar is a bonus).
  • Has strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
  • Has the physical ability to demonstrate skills, set up equipment, and provide hands-on spotting.
  • Has a desire to learn and grow as a coach and mentor.
  • Ideal candidates will bring a lot of energy to each class, be able to connect with kids and deliver the Forest Flyers experience each day.
  • Must be 16 or older with reliable transportation.
  • Must pass reference and background check.

What’s it like working at a ninja gym?


Imagine yourself playing on a big adult playground where you get to swing from rings, run up warp walls, do cool tricks and joke around with kids.


You will be tasked with showing the ninjas the skills for the week, hyping them up, and celebrating all of their accomplishments. You will need to be able to keep up to 8 kids focused on the skill and safe--which can be daunting. Coaches work together on the floor to support each other. 


We do cool stuff like host birthday parties, competitions, and Level Up days. 

The player profile that really excels in a ninja coaching role is someone who has the following traits:

  • Full of energy
  • Is not shy or timid
  • Can be goofy with kids
  • Can connect quickly with kids over similar interests
  • Willingness to learn 
  • Interest in the sport of ninja
  • Patience

Compensation:

  • Starting wage of $15.00/ hr with quarterly reviews for pay increases

  • The Monster Energy fairy drops by and stocks the fridge as well on occasion

Hours:

Our gym is open in the afternoons and evenings, and our coaches are required to start work before we open for classes and afterward to get the gym cleaned and ready for the next day.


We are open Saturday mornings for classes, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons for birthday parties.


Rough hours are: 4:30-8:30pm M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm Sat., 9:30am-2:30pm Sun.

We strive to make this the best place for kids and also for our coaches.
